Recently significant interest and work in gossamer structures exist to meet the future challenges of large, ultra-lightweight spacecraft, space observatories and structures for use on planetary surfaces. The technology promises to fulfill future requirements with significantly reduced cost and a shortened schedule. Our objective is to provide a forum for discussion of potential application, research results, presentation of ground tests, flight experiments, and application.
